The WFT-E4 II A offers fast IEEE 802.11 a/b/g connectivity, is perfect for wireless camera linking and syncing, and is compatible with a variety of Wi-Fi Protected Setups (WPS). It has Bluetooth built in and a USB port for connections to external drives and GPS systems. It can even function as a remote Live View shooter. All this, while also enhancing the functions and balance of the EOS 5D Mark II, means no-compromise wireless photography is simple and in the palm of your hand.
Features:
- Functions Wired and Wirelessly
It's easy to connect the EOS 5D Mark II and WFT-E4 II A to a computer via a wired or wireless setup. Whether with a Pushbutton Configuration (PBC Method), Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) PIN Method, or through a camera-controlled connection wizard, connections are achieved quickly, simply and securely. No matter the location, there's a connection protocol appropriate for the parameters of the shoot. - Remote Live View
The EOS 5D Mark II with WFT-E4 II A attached can pair with a computer for remote Live View composing, shooting and image transfer. This means easy control of the shoot through a computer, netbook, iPod Touch or iPhone, onsite or off, and is a simple and effective way to confirm and shoot no matter the physical location of the subject and photographer. - File Transfer Options
With the WFT-E4 II A, users have a number of different options for image transfer both on and offsite. When connected to an offsite server, it's simple to set the camera and WFT-E4 II A to shoot and upload images directly through fast IEEE 802.11 a/b/g networks. Images can simultaneously be saved to the camera or to a tethered hard drive. - USB Host Capability with GPS Support
GPS devices can be connected to the WFT-E4 II A to transmit location and elevation data along with the EXIF data for each image. With Bluetooth, photographers can fully employ GPS units without the concern of tangled wires, and can connect directly to Bluetooth compatible printers. With USB, the WFT-E4 II A can even be setup for direct recording to an external storage device. - Linked Multi-Camera Shooting
Camera linking with the WFT-E4 II A attached makes it possible for up to 10 cameras to shoot simultaneously. Up to 10 cameras can be connected independent of a network, and set up to take a shot the instant the shutter is released on the Master (Main) camera. With an effective range up to approximately 330 feet, this linked shooting is invaluable for multi-angle coverage.
